Weggis, 2. Juni 2025 — Excitement filled the air at the school in Weggis this week as students were swept away on a magical musical journey with Amadeus, the cheerful elephant mascot and balloon pilot from the Melody Factory. The visit was part of the school program “Amadeus’ Reisen: In die Länder der Sommermelodien.”
This unique performance brought together classical music, storytelling, and imagination, taking the children on a journey through different countries, each filled with its own musical colors and rhythms. With his hot air balloon, Amadeus introduced the students to the melodies of distant lands — from sunny Mediterranean tunes to rhythmic African beats, all brought to life through classical music.
More than just a concert, the event was an interactive experience. Children clapped along and learned musical motifs. The program is designed to spark curiosity and joy in music, making classical sounds accessible and exciting for young listeners.

“Our goal is to open hearts to music by connecting it with storytelling and imagination,” said one of the musicians from the Melody Factory team. “Amadeus is the perfect guide — playful, curious, and always ready to discover something new.”
Teachers and students alike were thrilled. The visit to Weggis is part of Melody Factory’s broader effort to bring interactive classical music experiences to schools across the region.
As Amadeus floated off in his balloon, waving goodbye, one thing was clear: the melodies of summer had found a home in the hearts of Weggis’s children.
